A HUGE Rail Ale thank you to EVERYONE who attended the 2021 Festival.

It was an amazing three days and having the Roundhouse full of happy people making up for 18 months of not going out was fantastic.

None of this could have happened without the great team behind the Festival and our brilliant volunteers - thank you to our teams in the gatehouse, handing out glasses and programmes, the token team, the operations team on the trains, the general cleaning team and of course the bar staff and cellar team! And the list of Rail Ale thank yous continues… to our sponsors, the ticket outlets, the musicians and bands, CAMRA, the food outlets and the brewers and hospitality venues who supported our trade day.

Make sure you have the 2022 Rail Ale dates in your diary - 19th, 20th and 21st May – tickets will be going on sale soon!

Rail Ale 2021 Beer of the Festival - Category Winners and Champion of the Festival, click here for the full list.

Thank you to all those breweries who took part in the 2021 Beer of the Festival competition. Thanks also go to all our panel members from CAMRA and the brewing and hospitality industry for giving up their afternoon to help with the judging.

The competition entries were blind tasted by a panel of judges during the Trade Session on Thursday afternoon with all the Gold category winners going forward to a final blind 'drink off' to choose the Champion Beer.

Congratulations to all our winners - the judges had a pretty hard time choosing the Champion Beer – 1872 from Elland Brewery – from a very competitive line up of beers from near and far.
