Tickets are now on sale for Rail Ale 2023 – the most atmospheric music and beer festival of them all!

Once again, we have lined up three days of fantastic entertainment for you all.  One of the highlights will be Rail Ale Party Night featuring 1980s icons Bad Manners with the big man himself at the helm – Buster Bloodvessel

On Friday night, we’ll be welcoming Highway Child, the hugely popular Sheffield-based soul, funk and blues band and a must-have fixture on the Rail Ale calendar.  Saturday night will see Flash, one of the best Queen tribute bands in the country, bringing the 2023 Festival to a suitably Mercurial close!  And we musn’t forget all those lovely beers and ciders, the renowned Rail Ale Gin Palace and, of course, the Rail Ale trains.

Tickets are now available for each day of the Festival and we are also offering a three-day Rail Ale Weekend Pass which will include entry to Rail Ale Party Night with Bad Manners!

To quench the thirst there will be over 350 real ales from around the country including many brewed locally in Derbyshire and South Yorkshire, a great range of ciders and craft beers, the hugely popular Rail Ale Gin Palace and a sprinkling of sparkle with the Prosecco & Wine bar.

For music lovers there will be fantastic live music in the marquee and on the main stage from jazz and brass through acoustic, funk and soul to rock and roll.

The Street Food Court will be on hand to provide you with a tasty range of food to suit every appetite from pork pies to pizza and hog roast to noodles.

Between 12noon and 5pm on Friday and Saturday the popular Rail Ale train will be running for our visitors. The dedicated shuttle bus service will also be running from Chesterfield railway station into the Festival on all three days.

Please note that it is over 18s only after 5.00pm on all three days of the Festival.

Thursday 18th May will be our Trade and VIP day and we are now taking bookings for this. If you are a publican, brewer or supplier to the brewery industry and would like to attend the Trade Day please email us at tradesession@railalefestival.com

If you would like further information on our Rail Ale Festival VIP packages please email: VIPevents@railalefestival.com.

Martin Kemp Live at Barrow Hill Roundhouse Rail Ale Festival

Rail Ale Party Night

Bad Manners, featuring vocalist, Buster Bloodvessel, are the best in British ska, known for their bald, enormous-bodied frontman's silly on-stage antics and their 2-Tone tracks including UK hits such as "Ne-Ne Na-Na Na-Na Nu-Nu," "Lip Up Fatty," "Special Brew," and "Can Can.”

Outrageous and enigmatic, they are one of the country’s best loved live acts.  The ska craze might have peaked in the mid 80s but the band have been on tour ever since, getting people dancing all over the world. Now in their 45th year and showing no signs of stopping, Buster and the Bad Manners boys are making an eagerly awaited first appearance at Rail Ale.

So get your boots on, it’s time to party Bad Manners style!

Bad Manners will be supported by Brew Droop, a Derbyshire-based three-piece funky reggae party band playing all the classics.
